Scope of Work: Middle Level Architect Designer

1. Project Design & Development:

• Conceptual Design: Participate in the development of architectural concepts, exploring various design options, and presenting design proposals to clients.

• Schematic Design: Develop schematic design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models, to communicate design intent and building massing.

• Design Development: Refine design details, including material selections, finishes, and building systems, ensuring compliance with building codes and client requirements.

• Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, including architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings, for use by contractors during construction.

• Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address site-specific challenges, and ensure adherence to design intent and building codes.

2. Project Management & Coordination:

• Client & Consultant Coordination: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other consultants to ensure smooth project coordination and timely delivery.

• Project Scheduling & Budgeting: Assist in developing project schedules and budgets, and monitor progress against established timelines and budgets.

• Quality Control: Ensure the quality of design and construction work through regular inspections and reviews.

3. Research & Development:

• Industry Research: Stay abreast of the latest architectural trends, technologies, and building codes.

• Material & Technology Research: Investigate and evaluate new building materials, construction technologies, and sustainable design strategies.

• Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitor projects and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

4. Team Leadership & Mentoring:

• Guide Junior Architects: Mentor and guide junior architects in their professional development, providing technical guidance and project support.

• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the design team.

5. Other Responsibilities:

• Prepare presentations and reports.

• Attend industry events and conferences.

• Contribute to the development of firm standards and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.

• 3-8 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, V-Ray and other relevant design software.

• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction practices.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented and organized.
